New York Mets manager Jerry Manuel has named Danile Murphy as the starting left fielder. Not seeing any reason to wait for spring training to start, the manager made tha announcement on Sunday. The NY Mets and Oliver Perez have agreed to a three year deal according to sources. Perez has been with the Mets since coming over from Pittsburgh in mid 2006.
