Mets End Losing Streak

Wednesday, July 8, 2009. It’s been hard to write about the New York Mets these days as they have been so awful. However, tonight they got a few hits and beat the LA Dodgers 4-3. It was their first runs since Saturday, first extra base hit since Friday and first multiple run inning in thirty two games! Perez got the victory but was far from good, going only five innings, walking seven and throwing just about as many balls as strikes. Final box score: Dodgers 4 runs, 9 hits, 1 error; Mets 5 runs, 9 hits, 0 errors. Next game: Thursday, July 9th, 7:10 PM, LA @ NY.
